Flowtown Has Been Acquired By Demandforce
Flowtown was my first ‘real-job’ out of college and it’s been by far the best 2 years 9 months of my life.
There are just way to many people to thank. Therefore I’ve gone ahead a sent out personal correspondence and gifts to many of you :)
If you’ve interacted with me in the past few years, you probably know the Flowtown ride has been a roller-coaster. From shutting down the first product. To getting shutdown with the second after rocket-ship growth. To then being acquired with the third.
I’m not super public as I believe somethings are best left private, but I wanna say I’m massively humbled by where things have landed. And I’m humbled Flowtown’s products and technology are being integrated into the world class organization that is Demandforce.
I need to also say that I wouldn’t be anywhere close to where I am if it wasn’t for Dan. I will never forget the day he told me to not go look for a job and that now (late 2008) was the time to start a company. It wasn’t too far after that he wrote me my first check in January 2009 and then wound up coming on full-time as a co-founder later that year. Let me reiterate I would be no where close to where I am now without Dan, the story above is just one of many examples of how he changed my life.
Here’s to Demandforce, paying it forward and to creating products people love.
